Dear Reader

Any reference to any person living or dead is purely
coincidental, and not meant to cause offence , only to provoke humour, and as a vehicle to "get things off my chest"

The Apology...

Sometimes apologies seem hollow and in fact dangerous.
You have to take into consideration that actions speak louder than words.

More 'T' Shirt Ideas...

Just so we're all clear about what's going on...

Rozie wondered how best to deal with all those awkward situations
involving seeing straight through conversations and behaviour
to the underlying insecurities.

She realised that everyone wants to be seen in the best light.
Wants to be taken seriously, and wants everyone to believe that they're amazing...
even if they're struggling to believe it themselves.

Getting Over a few Hurdles...

Jumping from the 'pew' into an important and valued role in leadership (vestry)
only requires getting over a few hurdles.
Hurdle 1. Submit to leaderships' authority without question.

Hurdle 2. Believe all that is said or implied by leadership.

Hurdle 3. No talking about anyone or to anyone...it's all gossip,
except if you're in leadership and have to discuss everyone.

Hurdle 4. Surrender any rights to ask questions,
they will all be seen as provocative and challenging behaviour.

Hurdle (puddle) 5. Look happy,
and wherever possible use flowery religious sounding words.
You'll be sure to get on.

The Fall...

Sometimes it doesn't take much to knock you off your perch.
However you're sure to get a different perspective,
once you have a chance to brush a bit of the dust off.

The Big Test...

Fruit... that's the test.

What do you get after all that hard work?

Is it sweet, good, nourishing and beautiful?

Or is it hard, bitter and inedible?

Rozie Wondered...

She read lots of things,
on blogs, in books and many and various conversations.

About life and what's going on and how to get on.
Mostly it sounded confusing.

However, she found that if she listened with her heart...
to what was really going on down deep inside.

She could usually find a way to go forward
and do things that were good for her to do
and let go of a bit of the anxiety surrounding what you feel you should do.

Growth...

Usually, things grow better when you pick them and share them.

Where The Seeds Grow...

You plant seeds to cover the recently dug up garden disaster,
then after a downpour,
they mysteriously appear all 'Emerald Green Carpet' around the drain pipe in the gutter.

Just like life, you plan and hope for things to go a certain way,
and strangely it's all meant to be completely different.

You Have to live in hope that what's meant to be will be,
and you don't have ultimate control.

What Are Ewe Thankful For?...

The Kids....

They might outgrow you in height but they never outgrow your heart.

Ageing...

With trees, a record of what's happened in  life is  left in the rings.
We can tell lots of things including age from these hidden indicators.

With people it's not really rings that tell us anything,
but if you look carefully you can tell a lot about someones life
by the "marks" that life has left.

What Do Ewe Wear...

Or getting around the, lets pretend no ones got curves edict from management.
The dress code was all about having ones "flesh" covered up and looking professional.
No low cut necklines in particular.

Not wanting to flaunt the rules, but wishing to retain a certain "feminine" charm.

Kitty took a leaf out of Nigellas book,
and decided on a lovely sensible Angora twinset
No gaping neckline, just a snug fit.

The Web...

Useful...Beautiful...Deadly....

So much of nature is a puzzle and nothing seems to be exactly straight forward,
it all depends on your perspective.

Rozie Looks For Romance...

Looking on the Internet proved unhelpful.
The lanky American had called himself 'Glass Half Full'...
Supposedly it gives the impression of a positive outlook on life.

Rozie thought later that perhaps the name
'Maturity Half Full' was more of a realistic description.

Ewe Can't Always Win...

In the game of life and love, you can't always win

So much depends on so much else.

Who Do Ewe See?....

When you look in the mirror it's easy to get all complicated about who you see.
What really matters is what's on the inside...
even though that gets complicated as well.
In the end,  dear reader, you are all you have to work with.
Being the best you is all you can hope to be.

Are Ewe In A Groove?....

Sometimes you keep digging away,
and despite the fact that you think you're getting somewhere,
you're actually just going in circles and the groove is getting deeper.

(This observation seems particularly relevant to issues around  getting older.)

With all that effort it's great if there is a positive result, that brings about change...
not just more of the same.

Keeping An Eye On Ewe...

Facebook...you never know who's watching.
Sometimes it's good, sometimes not so good.

Friday 2 March 2012

States Of Mind...

Sometimes it's hard to tell where you are,  sometimes I wish I had a map.
It's all familiar territory,
I've spent a lot of time in all of these states.

Wish Talk...

Just saying something over and over doesn't make it true.

I'm afraid it's back to the  hard questions.
I guess that's sometimes where we go wrong...we actually don't like the answers.
